Onigiri おにぎり which translate to Japanese Rice Balls is an inevitable Japanese cuisine. These rice balls are NOT round but triangular in shape. Wrap with seaweed to hold the steam rice in place, it’s a great snake or a simple rice sandwiches to go.

“O” is a polite prefix giving someone or something honor. “Nigiri” comes from the verb “Nigiru” which mean to hold tight or grasps.
